MONTAGU VINEYARDS

NAPA:

Sage Ridge Vineyard

Sage Ridge is a mountain site in Napa Valley behind Pritchard Hill and perched above Lake Hennessey. An incredible, metamorphic, moonpowder-like soil and a sun drenched Mediterranean climate allow the grapes to ripen to incredible density, texture and extraction while the elevation allows cool evening temperatures.

SONOMA:

Bacigalupi Vineyard

In 1956, Charles and Helen Bacigalup purchased land near the town of Healdsburg. They began to care for the 16 acres of existing vineyards with the vision of meeting the demand for premium wine grapes. The vineyards now consist of 125 acres of premium grapes, which have been planted and managed for the past 30 years by the Bacigalupi family.

Durell Vineyard

Located in the southwestern hills of Sonoma Valley, the Durell Vineyard stretches across three separate, overlapping appellations – Sonoma Coast, Sonoma Valley and a small corner of Carneros. This unique vineyard enjoys the best characteristics of each appellation, resulting in wines that are rich, elegant and full-bodied.

Charles Heintz Vineyard

Charles Heintz Vineyard is a well-known site for world-class Chardonnay. Located near the Pacific Ocean at an elevation of 900 feet, Heintz enjoys the daily effect of the coastal fog bank before mid-day sun ripens the fruit. The continual cool coastal air gives the vineyard a perfect climate.

Hyde Vineyard

Hyde Vineyard is located in the heart of the Carneros appellation. The soils are quite heavy and become leaner as they stretch to the hillside. With limited vine vigor and crop yield, this vineyard produces wines of weight – without being too heavy – that are supported by a strong acid profile and a steely-like sulfide character.

Ritchie Vineyard

With its beautiful, mature vines nestled on a rolling northwest-facing hillside in the heart of the Russian River Valley, the Ritchie Vineyard produces limited quantities of the highest quality grapes. First planted in 1972, it is among the oldest and most prized vineyards in California.

Silver Eagle Vineyard

The home vineyard of the Valdez family, Silver Eagle was planted by Ulises Valdez and shows strong coastal influence. Silver Eagle sits only six miles from the Pacific Coast allowing the warm daily sun to be cooled each night by ocean air.
